PARKING UPDATE:

Please leave ample time for parking and use the Westheimer side access. Parking will be congested from the entry route  from the Sage or Westheimer Ct direction. If you're new to our underground parking access, it is on your left before you reach the Hess Club, as you come from Westheimer.  Watch for the gated, open entry to below ground just after you pass the Capital One sign on your right.  Once you drive to the below ground level, turn towards your right and park close to the far wall.  An entry door to our meeting hallway is at this level.

Here is what the entrance to the lower level parking garage entrance looks like from street view.

The Positive and Practical Role of Bias in Coaching

Presenter: Teresa Pool, MCC

*1 CCEU in Core Competencies

Bias plays a crucial role in coaching, one worth acknowledging and exploring. It is the often-unconscious presence in each coaching session and competency. This program will be a journey into the intersection of coach and client bias and how much we can learn there. We will discover the amazing breadth of biases at play and how these can influence and inform our coaching approach. Coaching mastery is dependent on our ability to be aware of biases on both sides of the coaching relationship and embrace them as a positive and practical force for good!

What You Can Expect to Learn:

  • Coaching Presence – gaining new awareness of our own biases and how they unconsciously influence our coaching presence
  • Active Listening – applying our listening skills to both self and client in order to be conscious of the bias intersection
  • Direct Communication – flexing our approach to meet the client’s unique needs aligned with their internal biases (and not our own)
