"Increasing Awareness & Impact
When Coaching Black Clients"
Interactive Virtual Workshop
1.5 CCEUs in process
In support of ICF Global’s statement on Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Justice, ICF Houston is offering a coach-specific training and interactive workshop, designed by Houston-area coaches for coaches. Those helping with this initiative believe in our responsibility as coaches to grow coaches’ capacity and support clients in this area. We’re grateful for this coaches’ collaboration and to those coaches helping design the interactive workshop that also specialize in D&I.
The purpose of the workshop is to increase the coach’s awareness and provide tools to help increase the coach’s impact with clients. Specific subjects covered are: Identity Awareness, Empathy and Respect, Awareness of the possible impact of race in coaching. The following core competencies are addressed: Establishing Trust and Intimacy, Coaching Presence, Communicating Effectively (listening, powerful questions and direct communication).
In addition to creating awareness for the coach, the training will help the coach further develop their skills by including an experiential activity and providing tools and takeaways the coach can use to increase the impact of their coaching with clients. For those that participate in the workshop, there are 1.5 CCEUs in the application process. To learn more about this workshop and support ICF Houston’s efforts in Diversity and Inclusion, contact Sandra Voyadzis, Director of Outreach.
