Merger & Acquisition (M&A) activity is at an all time high. Chances are your client organizations are already “in the game”…or soon may be.  More than 70% of mergers fail to add shareholder value.  And there are many potential pitfalls in the high stakes M&A lottery.  

M&A activities bring the hope of big payoffs to investors – and big challenges to organizations and their executive leaders.  A successful outcome is a combined organization that is truly “better together”.  Getting there may be messy, as organizations reconcile contrasting corporate cultures and differing leadership styles.  The successful corporate merger process requires a lot of honest communication and open dialogue – and good coaching along the way.

Bill Koch is an ICF certified coach whose coaching practice includes guiding executive leaders through successful mergers and acquisitions.  He’s a coach who’s done the work. Bill’s business career includes service as CEO of 4 companies through more than 30 acquisition transactions valued at over $1 billion in a 25 year span.  He’s seen it from all angles and mastered the game.

In this session, Bill shares insights on successful merger integration strategies, and how coaching can bring out the best leadership competencies that help drive good outcomes. This session will open your eyes to see how coaching can dramatically improve an organization’s chances of success through a merger or acquisition – and may offer you new ideas for opportunities to be of service as a coach.

This session will include a case study with a group participation coaching scenario and one ICF Core Competency credit.
