Breaking Through Client Blocks

Speaker: Meg Rentschler, PCC

As a coach, what do you do when you suspect there are beliefs – perhaps deeply held – that are blocking your client’s path and preventing achievement of desired outcomes, goals and dreams?  Join coach Meg Rentschler, host of the weekly radio program The STaR Coach Show, to learn cognitive approaches to helping clients break through these blocks.

Executive and mentor coach and coach instructor Meg Rentschler, PCC, will share tools of cognitive coaching.  Her approach to client empowerment helps you partner with your clients to achieve greater openness, focus, clarity and new perspectives that result in increased options and actions for success.

Participants will explore:

  • What makes automatic thoughts so powerful?
  • What is the difference between cognitive therapy and cognitive coaching?
  • What are some common thought patterns or cognitive distortions you can listen for?
  • How can you help your clients increase their awareness of potentially counterproductive beliefs?
  • Through your responses, how can you help increase your clients’ openness to new possibilities?

Meg Rentschler LCSW, PCC is the founder of the executive coaching practice A Focus on Results based in Grapevine, Texas.
