Qualification (MCQ) In April 2026, the International Coaching Federation announced the introduction of a new mentor coach qualification (MCQ), a global standard designed to further strengthen the quality and consistency of mentor coaching worldwide. While details are still emerging, current ICF mentor coaching requirements remain in effect, and mentor coaching hours completed under existing guidelines will continue to be accepted by ICF during the transition period. ICF Houston is actively monitoring these developments and will share updates as guidance becomes clearer.
