What do coaches need to know about the competencies and other requirements for the ICF ACTC?
Talk with any organizational leader about team coaching and they will have an appreciation (could be good or bad!) for those “bonding” events or team building. What if instead, you described a process of working with the team to identify its dynamics, relationships and systems in a way that brings together the talent and capabilities of the team and aligns them to a common purpose executing on shared goals. Barbara Stewart was part of the pilot for the ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching and earned the ACTC in September 2022. She has been actively coaching teams since 2014.
Prior to founding Accelus Partners in 2010, Barbara served as a financial and business advisor to C-Suite executives and business owners. Barbara earned her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation in 2011, and she is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, and a Birkman Certified Professional. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Sam Houston State University. A native Texan, she enjoys fishing the saltwater bays and training with her horse, Usache.
