In an experiment to show how testing supports improved learning in adults, the American Psychological Association shares, “adults of various ages improved their retention of new information…if they were tested on the material and received feedback on their scores, rather than just restudying the materials…” Moreover, the findings show that taking a test as soon as the study period ends leads to “…significantly better…” results.
